Carrie Underwood @ Ion Orchard
IF YOU don’t know yet, Carrie Underwood will be in town to perform as part of the grand opening celebrations for Ion Orchard next week. Yes, country-pop star will hold a special one-night-only performance there.
Since she hit No 1 with her album, Carnival Ride, Carrie’s been riding high, and she even became the first woman since 2001 to be named the Academy of Country Music’s Entertainer of the Year in 2009. No mean feat for sure!
Her 45-minute gig will start at 7.30pm on Oct 16 (next Friday) and you guys can catch her show from several vantage points around Ion Orchard.
Those of you who have been following the current season of Singapore Idol might want to catch the 2004 winner of American Idol; and yes, you Idol hopefuls, this is your chance to see what makes an Idol winner – so don’t miss this!
Your Abang is definitely going to be there!

Do you know how much exciting this sounds for me and all Carrie’s Asian fans??!! This is huge!! I have been a die hard fan of hers also a fan club member. Her fans in the US are happy that she is going international for the first time. Some are still skepticla if this news is true or not. How long will she be in Singapore? Will she be joining the 23rd event downtown Orchard Road?

Hi do you have any information as to how do we get tickets to the event?
There are no tickets to be had. You just have to turn up at Ion Orchard. There will be screens set up apparently for you to watch the show if it’s too crowded and you can’t get close enough to the stage

What VANTAGE POINTS? They fenced off the stage! When I asked about where the stupid vantage points are, the marshalls said the vantage point is in LIDO! The press release is one big lie.
I love Carrie Underwood’s latest video – Undo It. Astonishing that carrie was unheard of simply a few years ago.
Carrie is indeed one of a kind and she is still very sweet,down to earth yet mature and more confident and keeps getting better and better.She will be heading down to US next. I’m sure that her tickets will be a sell-out too! coz she has been a good ambassador of country music and remains true to herself.
