Just a little bit of news:
With my changing duties at work, this means that I’ve had less time to actually concentrate on all things music.
Augh! I know.
But that doesn’t mean we’re going to cancel our flights – I mean, lessen our coverage. We now have the one and only Kevin Mathews helping us out on a freelance basis.

For those who don’t know, Kevin has been around the block music-wise. Back in the days when yours truly was just bustin’ out with his band, Kevin had a Numero Uno hit with the song, My One And Only, as well as other tunes like I Love Singapore (no, really!), although that never became a National Day tune… And he’s still churning out tunes!
Anyway, through the years he’s performed with several different outfits – from The Watchmen to The Groovy People – and he’s also a mentor with Noise Singapore’s apprenticeship programme. So he knows what he’s talking about.
He’ll be helping us cover music stories and reviews, so watch out for his stuff in the TODAY newspaper this week. Also, check out his website, The Power Of Pop (http://www.powerofpop.com/) if you haven’t already! Good good stuff.
