BAD NEWS LMFAO fans. The wacky duo of Party Rock fame will not be performing in Singapore as scheduled due to the fact that Sky Blu hasn’t quite recovered from his back injury.
Here’s the official statement from the organisers…
Electro hip‐hop duo LMFAO’s Singapore concert originally scheduled for April 9, 2012 at the
Singapore Indoor Stadium has been postponed to a later date to be announced.
This is due to Sky Blu still recovering from a back injury and is unable to accompany his partner
Redfoo on the upcoming Asia tour dates. Sky was diagnosed with 3 herniated discs. Currently his back simply cannot take the stress of a multi‐song performance. Despite attending specialised therapy sessions over the past few months, Sky’s physician concluded the herniated discs were still too damaged to allow him to perform and any physical activity for more than 2 minutes at a time.
“LMFAO is a super group and our mission since the beginning is to change this world into a party planet, one show at a time! Health being a number one priority, it’s important for Sky Blu to heal his back properly and recharge his party powers!” says Redfoo.
Eager to return to the stage Sky Blu added “injuries like these are tough because you can’t see them…you can only feel them. It’s been challenging but I’m doing everything necessary to be back at 100%. I can’t wait to get back out there. Until then, keep the party going!!”
Unrelenting in their commitment to global dance floor‐domination, Redfoo and the Party Rock Crew will lead their loyal platoon of party rockers across Asia until Sky Blu can return. Recently Redfoo completed a string of successful dates in Canada and Europe delivering a stellar solo performance to sold‐out venues; receiving rave reviews from critics and fans alike.
