Guess who’s in town to promote his latest film?
Yes, it’s none other than singing sensation Jay Chou, who nipped by with director Dante Lam to promote The Viral Factor, an action film opening here this week, about an agent fighting to stop a terrorist from developing a killer virus, even if it brings him against his older brother, played by Nicholas Tse.
Some choice quotes from the press conference:
“I have a close female friend, not a girlfriend.” (Possibly a reference to Hannah Quinlivan, his rumoured girlfriend.)
“My character is not as emotional (as Nicholas Tse’s), I still have an image to maintain! (laughs.) I’m a still a singer.”
“This was a very challenging shoot … Especially when I had to jump from a high floor.”
“The hardest thing to act in the movie… A headache. If you do it wrong it looks like a stomachache … Crying is harder but as long as the moment is right it’s ok. There’s probably not going to be any tears though.”
“I try to keep my life private. 70% is on the movies, 20% by paparazzi. I only have 10% left. So I keep it very private. Maybe once I’m married I will tell everybody.”
