Hey Film Fans,
So has Charlize Theron found her inner mean girl? I mean, from the messed up homewrecker in Young Adult to the evilest of evil queens in Snow White and the Huntsman, to the very cold Meredith ” I may have an agenda” Vickers in Prometheus… Hmmm… is there something you’re not telling us Charlize?? To be fair, she’s actually really nice in person, and even offered to give me the Heimlich Maneuver, when I started coughing uncontrollably during our round table interviews. She actually got her assistant to get me some water. So hurray for saving my life Charlize!
Guy Pearce on the other hand, is super duper nice as pie, and ever so friendly. Look for out for my one-on-one print interview with him coming out in TODAY soon!
In the meantime, enjoy my TV interview with them both.
Ok film fans,
Who’s so ready to see this now ? With less than a week left to go, the hype for Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus” is reaching a fever pitch with more trailers, internet buzz and fan hype than you can shake an ugly ALIEN at.
Have you met David?
Conceived as a prequel to Scott’s seminal 1979 film Alien, rewrites of the script developed a separate story that preceded the events of Alien, but is not directly connected to the films in the Alien franchise. Scott says that though the film shares “strands of Alien’s DNA”, and takes place in the same universe, Prometheus will explore its own mythology and ideas. The Alien series was so defined by Sigourney Weaver’s performance that it’s hard not to wonder which of the crew will turn out to be “Ripley” this time around. But recalling how the groundbreaking original film worked so well simply because we did not know who would survive, we’ve not going to do that.
Instead, we’re just going to enjoy the crazy ride… and try not to pass out over the excitment of getting to interview them all in person. YUP! TODAY will be talking to MR BLADE RUNNER himself Ridley Scott , Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce and Charlize Theron in London on the 30th and 31st of May.. FACE TO FACE! And I’m shaking in my boots! I mean, this is Ridley “I am a perfectionist” Scott we’re talking about here.
So Flick Chick needs your help! Any burning questions for any of the Prometheus peeps??Yoo Hoo, Fassy fans out there! Please leave them here and I’ll try my best to get them answered!
Best Question gets a surprise prize!
So please start a-asking! And please, always remember to Snap, Crackle and POPcorn!

Hey Film Fans,
I think it’s safe to say, we’re all TEAM KATNISS! It’s hard not to be enthralled by the Hunger Games heroine . Yes, her sense of purpose is beyond admirable. But it is her courage, resilience and unconditional love for her younger sister that makes her worthy to be truly one of this generation’s role models. Oh that Bella Swan, she’s really no Katniss Everdeen. So who better to encompass all that on the silver screen than 21 year old Jennifer Lawrence?
Talent, humour and humility? This girl is going to go a long way. Click below to see Flick Chick’s one-on-one interview with J-Law herself!
In rising mega movie star terms, 2012 is the year of Jennifer Lawrence—at least to everyone but Jennifer Lawrence. Personally, the next big thing would rather be on her couch at home in Santa Monica. “I hate going to those Hollywood parties,” she told TODAY during our one-on-one interview at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. But that hasn’t stopped her meteoric rise since her stunning performance in the 2010 indie Winter’s Bone. It garnered the then 19 year lass from Kentucky multiple Best Actress award nominations including the Golden Globe, the SAG ( Screen Actors Guild), the Critics’ Choice Awards and the coveted Oscar.
Where did this girl come from, everyone wanted to know?
But after her fan favourite performance as the young Mystique in the critical and commercial hit X-Men: First Class in 2011 and then beating out 30 other Hollywood starlets including fellow Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld, Saoirse Ronan and Chloe Moretz to land the highly coveted role of Katniss, the word now on everyone’s lips is “How many major acting awards is this talented ingénue going to win in the years to come?”
Because even though she’s not willing to play the Hollywood fame game at all, what with forthright quotes like “I don’t diet. I do exercise! But I don’t diet. You can’t work when you’re hungry, you know?” , the girl known for her dead-panned humour is dedicated to her craft. She read the entire The Hunger Games trilogy in five days and entered eight weeks of physical training pre-filming that included archery, yoga and combat fighting. And yet, she still has time to pull pranks on her co-stars and joke about how “it’s very good I found acting since I’m not very good at anything much else. Archery and acting is about all I have to offer! ”
“I wanted to start off by wishing you the Hunger Games mantra-quote : “May the odds ever be your favour,” I said to her during our chat. “But after seeing you do such an amazing job as Katniss, I don’t think you actually need it!”
“Aww, thanks! No I do!” she replied.
Like we said, “Talent, Humour and Humility”. Watch out world!
Tell me how much you love Katniss/ Jennifer Lawrence! Leave a message here!

Hey Film Fans,
Yes everyone knows that The Hunger Games -Suzanne Collins’ best-selling dystopian trilogy about a future dictatorship in which teens are forced to fight to the death on TV- is the hottest book-to-movie series since Harry Potter and Twilight. And yes, Jennifer Lawrence is smoking hot as heroine Katniss Everdeen. But let’s face it, the biggest battle that everyone is buzzing about right now is battle of the boys- Jen’s hunky male co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, who play Peeta and Gale respectively. So which of the HUNGER HUNKS do you prefer? Click here to see Flick Chick’s exclusive interview with the soon-to-be-massively HUGE Josh and Liam and pick a side!!!
Do you prefer the adorable, sweet and charming Peeta Mellark? OR are you more of a bad boy with a heart of gold type like Gale Hawthorne?
Leave a comment and let me know? We’ll do a poll!
Till then, always remember to snap, crackle and POPcorn as we count down to THE HUNGER GAMES SINGAPORE PREMIERE on the 22nd March!
XOXO.

TODAY EXCLUSIVE!!!
Hey Film Fans, and HOLLA to all you gerzillion Tay-Tay supporters out there…
Presenting Flick Chick’s video interview with your beloved Swifty:
Yes, everyone knows she famously writes agonizingly honest songs about herself, her ex boyfriends, and now more and more often, other celebrities. But lest you think Taylor Swift is as Mean as her recent same-title hit song, TODAY wants to set the record straight. During Flick Chick’s one-on-one interview with the Pollyanna country-popstar in Los Angeles where she was talking about lending her voice to Audrey in The Lorax- the 3D animated feature based on the classic Dr Seuss’ tale of the same name, the 22-year-old was anything but. Arguably a tad vanilla, but oh-so -sweet, PR-perfect and just plain nice.
It’s obvious the record-breaking, multiple Grammy-winning country-pop worldwide phenomenon has a deeply ingrained sense of appropriateness and knows exactly what she’s doing. Whether she’s interacting with her fans (of which there are millions worldwide who swear by her authenticity) or answering questions about her first silver screen foray into the colourful world of 3D animation alongside fellow voice-castmates Zac Efron, Danny DeVito, Ed Helms and Betty White.
The Lorax is a beloved cautionary tale of environmental conservation wrapped up in a colourful children’s story by Dr Seuss. Don’t forget to check it out!
Leave a comment and tell me your thoughts on Taylor the musican becoming Taylor the movie star!
Till then, always remember to Snap, Crackle and POPcorn.
XOXO
Your Flick Chick
