The police will be releasing the list of rally sites for the General Election after nomination closes on Nomination Day, next Wednesday (April 27).
Earlier this month, MediaCorp had reported that the police had said it was reviewing a list of possible rally sites, including new ones.
Analysts had said it could be due to the redrawing of the electoral boundaries.
Meanwhile, political parties have been preparing for the upcoming rallies, planning to use new media such as social networking sites and live web streaming to promote their rallies.
Coffeeshops, hawker stallholders and residents at previous rally sites during the last General Election in 2006 had said rallies add to the buzz of the estate and also mean better business for them.
