Greetings and salutations, fellow stargazers! It’s that time of the year again, when visions of trophies dance in stars’ heads. Yes, Star Awards season approacheth! The nominations for 2012 were announced this morning, and our nominees are, for the most part, still trying to take it all in.
“I’m very surprised!’ said Ann Kok, who got a Best Actress nomination for her role in Bountiful Blessings. “Nominations are always a good surprise.” Ann’s not sure about her chances of winning though, saying, “The rest of the nominees have all gotten Best Actress awards before.”
Andie Chen woke up to a bunch of missed calls and the news of his Best Actor nomination for Code Of Honour. “I’m used to putting in a hundred percent and expecting zero percent – I thought it was my fate for a while – so whatever attention I get is a bonus!” he chuckled.
Andie continued: “If it brings me more fame, that will bring me better scripts, and better scripts mean more options in characters, so hopefully I’ll be able to bring audiences more exciting characters.”
