Greetings and salutations, fellow stargazers! This is your Showbiz Sista with one very happy guy:
Why is Nat Ho so happy? Well, for good reason, and it’s not just because he’s covered in birds.
He’s just released his debut EP (Congratulations, Nat!). Unleashed, which features four tracks, all written by Nat himself, has been two years in the making. The 28-year-old has been busy bringing it to fruition ever since he left MediaCorp to strike it out on his own as a pop star in 2010.
Nat said that he was inspired to achieve his dream by The Freshman’s Carrie and Diya. “I was very inspired when they first came out with their album. I went out and bought it immediately and I held it and I was like, ‘It can be done!’ And that is what actually pushed me also to get started on my own.”
“Inspiration comes when I’m driving or when I’m in the shower,” Nat said.
The title track “Unleashed”, said Nat, “is about being free to finally do what you want. It kind of reflects my own story. At the same time, I also wrote it to encourage people to chase their dreams. One of the lines is, ‘The air I breathe has got me unleashed.’ The air outside is damn fresh! All I smell is possibilities!”
And as for his new platinum hair: “I always wanted to have this but it would have affected my acting jobs and all that. So, unleashed!”
