
Sony’s Xperia Tablet S will go on sale in Singapore tomorrow, the Japanese tech giant has announced.
The 16GB device comes with a 9.4-inch, 1280 x 800 pixel screen, and will be powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and Android’s 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It will also have an 8-megapixel camera at the back one a 1-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Tablet S also has the same folded-book design as previous Sony tablets, making it stand out easily from the hordes of identical Android tablets already in the market.
It will also feature a downloadable Socialife application to help users manage social networking services and news feeds and DLNA capabilities which allow content on the tablet to be “thrown” onto compatible television sets.
The Xperia Tablet S will be available from tomorrow at all Sony stores and authorised outlets at S$749.

From Dec 10, customers who purchase any PlayStation Vita 3G/WiFi model can get one year PlayStation Plus membership and the first made-in-Singapore PlayStation game – Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken for free, Sony announced today.
Those who purchase the PS Vita Wifi-only model will also be entitled to 180 days free PS Plus Membership.
Becoming a PlayStation Plus member will allow gamers to enjoy online storage for game saves, full game trials and special offers from the PlayStation Store.
The PS Vita 3G/WiFi and WiFi-only models are currently available in Singapore in Cosmic Red and Sapphire Blue colours at a suggested retail price of S$469 and S$399 respectively.
Upcoming PS Vita titles include PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified and Assassin’s Creed III Liberation.

The Sony Xperia V
The Sony Xperia V, popularly know as James Bond’s phone in the latest Skyfall movie, will be available in Singapore from Dec 8, the Japanese tech giant announced today.
The Xperia V is Sony’s first LTE smartphone and also has the highest levels of dust and water resistance in the Singapore market. It also has a 4.3-inch, 1280 X 720 display and comes shipped with the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. The PlayStation Vita will be available in the colours Cosmic Red and Sapphire Blue from Nov 22 in Singapore, Sony announced today.
The devices will be sold at the recommended retail price S$469 (3G + WiFi) and S$399 (WiFi only) and those looking for matching accessories will be glad to know that Cosmic Red and Sapphire Blue in-ear headphones, which cost S$19.90 each, will hit stores on Nov 22 as well.
Sony is also expected to release gaming titles Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and Atelier Totori Plus-Alchemist of Arland 2 this month for the PS Vita later this month.
The official PS3 wireless stereo headset with 7.1 virtual surround sound is also scheduled to go on sale here on Nov 13 at the recommeded price of S$179.90.

The new PS3 will be available in Singapore from Oct 23.
Sony today announced the new PlayStation 3 game console, featuring a new design and a downsized form factor, will become available in Singapore on Oct 23 (Charcoal Black) and Nov 22 (Classic White) respectively.
The 500GB version will cost S$399 and the 250GB version will cost S$369.
The new PS3 is about 20 per cent slimmer and lighter than the current PS3 but maintains the iconic look of the original by adopting a sliding disk cover.
In addition to the PS3, Sony will also be releasing a vertical stand for the gaming console and a new DualShock wireless controller.
